Patrick is a roast master, tea sommelier, a coffee competition judge, an authorized SCA trainer, and only the 43rd person in the world to receive an SCA Diploma. He works in every facet of the coffee industry; From the sale and repair of espresso machines, roasting coffee, and the wholesale and distribution of fine coffee and teas to designing, building, and managing his cafes, Patrick has a deep knowledge and passion for coffee that he passes on to every single one of his students. IBCA is housed in a state-of-the-art facility that, at the time of building, was one of 31 SCA certified coffee labs in the world. Because the facility is home to our professional coffee roasting company, Espresso Italia, and our cafe, Infusion Coffee & Tea, it is fully equipped with every tool any coffee business could need to operate. Working hands-on and not just learning from a book or online course makes for an incredible learning experience as you get to work with the best technology and machines in the business.

Training On Location

IBCA also offers coffee education at the source! In collaboration with one of our coffee ventures, 3 Coffee Guys, you can travel the world and learn about coffee from seed to cup. Alternatively, we train on location for many farmers, roasters, and coffee businesses.
